Calibration & Maintenance Manager (Softlines / Textile) | HCM
We are hiring position of Calibration & Maintenance Manager for Softline industry in Hochiminh City
MISSION:
To lead the Equipment & Maintenance team in ensuring the reliable operation and optimal condition of all Softlines (textile and footwear) testing equipment and facilities. This includes implementing effective maintenance strategies, managing resources and budgets, and ensuring full compliance with safety regulations and ISO 17025 standards.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
- Calibration, Maintenance Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive calibration and maintenance schedules for all testing equipment and facilities, including proposing calibration parameters and procedures, preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordinating emergency repairs.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of testing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Compliance: Ensure all calibration and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, ISO 17025 quality standards, and environmental requirements. Lead efforts to achieve ISO 17025 accreditation for internal calibration processes.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to testing equipment and facilities, potentially requiring expertise in areas like electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Budget Management: Manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting, procurement of parts and materials, and tracking expenses.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies, ensuring availability for maintenance activities.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all calibration and maintenance activities in accordance with compliance requirements, including calibration and verification reports, maintenance logs, work orders, inspections, equipment history, and user manuals (hard and soft copies). Prepare reports on maintenance performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as the testing lab teams, QA and procurement, to ensure efficient and effective calibration & maintenance operations.
- Client Communication: In some cases, this role may involve interacting with clients regarding testing equipment and facility needs.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance and calibration of equipment in the textile, garment, or footwear industries
- Solid knowledge and practical experience in implementing ISO 17025 standards within calibration processes
- Strong ability to work independently with a high level of integrity
- Good command of English for reading technical documents and effective communication
